Alast we get a preview from my most anticipated remaining LP of 2011. The War on Drugs have released "Come to the City" today off of Slave Ambient which is due August 16th. Really great track here. I'm thinking about making a countdown ticker for the site. It's hard to explain how pumped I am for this album and the impact the War on Drugs have had on me. Hopefully you can share the same passion I have for these dudes.

Yet another elusive band has emerged from the depths of the music/blog scene. Apparently giving the public essentialy zero information about your band has become a now regular and efficient promotional tactic. Of course this only works when the music is good, which Stay + is. They used to go by Christian AIDS, but were sued over the name and subsequently changed to Stay +. Here are a couple of videos that are worth a watch / listen.

Captured Tracks just signed a new band, Hoop Dreams. Their label roster is probably the most fluid out of anyone in the business and definitely a go to label for me. I really don't know anything about Be Forest because the only information I can get on them is in Italian or French. The one tid bit I do know is that they are from Italy. However, one obvious piece of information that we do have is that they rule, hard. "Florence" seems to be the only track that I can download at the moment. There are more tracks over at their myspace and an additional track at the grrrizzly tumblr.
