Here We Go Magic
Foals are definitely in my top 5 favorite bands and hopefully you'll see why with this video/song. It appears they're embracing a new sound, which excites me. Considering how much I spun their first record, I can barely stand the wait for their second album, Total Life Forever, due May 10th on Sub Pop (US) and Transgressive (UK).

If you were to smoke and go for a summertime bike ride to the beach with your friends, this is probably one of the most ideal songs ever. Cults has got me ready to sign up for whatever kool aid they're drinking. (sorry for the cliche)

I'm not going to say much about this new DOM track, "Burning Bridges," except that I'm not surprised. Another top notch track. There's also an additional new track posted at their myspace too.

Memoryhouse just released "Bonfire," the B-side to their upcoming 7", To The Lighthouse (pre-order here). My love for this song/band is beginning to acquire no bounds. If you didn't catch it the first time around, make sure to go download their EP, The Years, here. Catch the video for "Bonfire" below, courtesy of Schmooze Blog.

Very rarely will I ever check out one of those myspace wall promotional messages people leave on artists pages, but for some reason I chose to give this one a shot. NickS was pleasantly surprising. The song "Oblivion" really stood out for me. Go check out his myspace for more songs and if you're diggin', he's posted a bunch of songs via mediafire.

I'm having trouble visualizing the ideal venue/activity to listen to Games with, but I'm certain that it would probably involve some sort of dancing. I do know that both of these songs make me feel very euphoric.

Eau Claire, WI is not only the home of myself and Bon Iver, but a pretty awesome subsequent music scene. Weed, aka Willy Anderson, now resides in Brooklyn, but recently made a trip back home to the mother land and performed a few songs for The Valley. There will be a third video released on the 22nd, so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, check out these two. Also, head over to his Muxtape where you can stream his entire cassette, To The North, along with two new demos.

I just found Arches over at Chocolate Bobka last night. These tracks have put me in an absolute trance. I'm still deciding if this is good music for work or not because I've adopted an even more carefree mindset. But screw it, the music must go on. It'll make you happy, just like it's supposed to.
